Jay Saldi
John Jay Saldi, IV (born October 8, 1954) is a former professional American football tight end in the National Football League. Saldi played for nine seasons from 1976-1984 for the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears. He played college football at the University of South Carolina. ==Early years== Saldi attended White Plains Senior High School where he was an All-American tight end and linebacker. He accepted a scholarship from the University of South Carolina where he played as an undersized (205 pounds) defensive tackle as a true freshman, before suffering a leg injury.
